Loretto School is Scotland's oldest boarding school, fostering young people in mind, body, and spirit. With a historic 85-acre campus, it offers a nurturing environment for students aged 3 to 18.
Teaching Philosophy
We offer a tailored education for every pupil, based upon our founding motto ‘spartam nactus es, hanc exorna,’ which roughly translates as ‘you were born with talents: develop them’. This principle underpins Loretto’s personalised approach to each child’s education.
